Age & My Parents’ Declining Health Care
As my dad and mom age I become more stressed with their declining health with each new year. They both used to be such vital, healthy individuals. But now it seems when I return home I learn of some new stressing development with either of their health care.
This past year my mom developed these odd pale blotches whenever she exposed her skin to the sun for more than a few minutes. Thankfully it turned out to be nothing too serious. We found a site that explained the harmless cause of such spots: White Spots From Tanning. This site really helped us put our minds at ease and better understand the truly serious melanoma symptoms we should understand.
Just this year my mom thinks she began to experience gluten intolerance symptoms. I directed her to the site I linked for you in that last sentence, and now she feels much more confident to face the possibility of a gluten free lifestyle. She is working with her doctor about it now, but we’re still not sure if my mom has Celiac Disease (gluten intolerance) or not.
And in the mean time, my father has experienced Barrett’s Esophagus symptoms, something many more people may be suffering than they realize. While Barrett’s Esophagus itself isn’t necessarily deadly, it can many times accompany more serious conditions like stomach cancer and it can be a precursor to esophagus cancer.
